This abstract work by Madiano Tomei demonstrates the mastery of an artist with a remarkable international career. Born in Milan in 1936, Tomei studied with Jacques Maes and Devos at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels before settling in Brazil in 1954, where he developed a personal plastic language, nourished by the Brazilian landscapes and culture.
The composition features a constructivist figure with interlocking geometric shapes, rendered in warm tones of yellow, ocher, orange, and red.
